How The Heart Sings

Beyond the mortal frame,
Past the soft, fragile flesh
Lies the ghosts of love
More impenetrable than
Any fortress.

And as bodies collide,
These holy spirits 
Romance each other
In a sacred dance
From a culture of their own.

Just as the universe expands
As wide as the open sea
The hands of fate itself
Strums the sweet tune
Of the stars above.
